Description
This is one beautiful Double-crested Cormorant (DCCO) captured while perched on a twig. During breeding plumage, the females will have white feathers on their heads. And only during breeding season between May and August will we able to see the teal-blue eyes and bright yellow throat. They are a majestic birds who are underrated and should deserve more attention as their populations are dwindling in BC.
